Quack science seems to have the ear of the mainstream media on health matters. For instance, you may have heard the headlines recently that “New studies dispel multivitamin myths.” That one was from NBC, but NPR and nearly everyone else said something similar. If the reporters had done their homework, they would have told you that the review came from a Big Pharma publication and that it referenced synthetic, isolated vitamin E, and not the full-spectrum, natural kind, complete with tocopherols.
Ever get the feeling that when a liberal politician is questioned, it’s just like hitting a button on a jukebox? Out comes a prerecorded answer. I got that feeling once when I interviewed Al Gore. But now we know where those sound bytes may be coming from, at least the ones that have to do with gun control.
